Milliamp hours or "mAh" is a rating or measurement of the capacity of a laptop battery pack. Sometimes it is expressed as watt hours (Whrs). Either measurement is an expression of the total amount of energy a battery can store. So, the higher the mAh rating of a battery, the longer the run-time. A similar analogy is to think of it like you think of the size of the fuel tank in your car. The more gallons of gas your fuel tank can hold, the farther you can drive. In battery packs, the higher your mAh rating, the longer you can power your laptop without an AC Adapter. Your device can accept different mAh ratings. "The same" or "less" can sort of seem "the same" and the amount might appear to be "less" but is it really? Many times we find that there are hidden shipping fees that you can't discover until you have completed the entire shopping cart. How annoying is that? Check to make sure the mAh rating and quality of the battery pack really up to BatteriesDirects high standards. What is their return policy? Can you get ahold of the company easily if you are unhappy with your purchase or if you have questions on your order? Do they offer you a toll-free number and physical address on their website? Are they actually accredited members with the Better Business Bureau? How does their 30 or 60-day warranty compare to our full year (365 day) warranty?

Well that sort of depends. First let's make sure that we are looking at the battery from the same point of view. Are we showing the top, bottom, front or back of the battery in our picture? We try to show the part that will best set it apart from the thousands of different laptop batteries out there. If you have taken the battery out of your laptop and oriented it so that you can compare it to our image and you still are not sure, please give us a call.
